These save the date cards were a lot of fun to make. Working with the bride and groom, we modeled the layout after a Western Union telegram from the old days. Under the Western Union title, we printed the impression of the United States Marine Corps logo because the groom was a member of the Marine Corps. On the left and right edges we impression printed circles to mimic the tear-away paper old printers used. In the top left corner, instead of "Class of Service", the location of the wedding was indicated as the destination. The names of the parents were printed in a small font size where the president, vice-president, and chairman of the board at Western Union used to be written. The bulk of the message was in Courier in all caps.
